Antique set of four mismatch stem liqueur glass from the mid 19th century France. A charming set of slightly imperfect glasses.
Called a cordial glasses, they are smaller than a wine glass and larger than a shot glass, a cordial glass is the perfect 2-3 ounce size for sipping Italian or French apéritifs and digestifs. An after-dinner digestive liqueur is a common site on Italian and French dinner tables; sipped slowly and served in a special glass, it is a moment to savour.
The glass was pressed and these are quite heavy with thick glass.
In good condition, complete with fabrication bubbles and pressed lines and bumpy finishes, please see all the photos. One glass has a rough rim and another is most definitely tilted slightly, showing the hand made defects that occur. There are lines that look like fine cracks but they are just lines.
