I found this red faux leather case in the back of an old brocante in the South West of France. I'd opened it quickly during my search and thought it looked charming. Once home I started to clean it and sort through it and I found a little treasure trove of vintage and antique sewing items for a child but also with some adult items, needles and pins and older cotton threads etc. There are still the plastic accessories and some buttons and cotton ribbon etc. I particularly like the old pack of Pingouin needles and the little balls of linen thread.
In French it is called 'valisette de couture'.
It has been used so it is not in pristine condition but it has obviously been loved and well used.
