These vintage Longchamp majolica oyster plates are a great example of the faience, ceramic, made in France. It was very popular in the early to mid-20th century. A mark of the era and fine French dining. This was especially true at Christmas for the traditional oyster and seafood course.
They have six deep scallop shell shaped moulded hollows for oysters and one for lemon in the center with a basket weave effect around the rim.
