Pair of antique porcelain raviers marked 'Cie Generale Toulouse', referring to the company: Charlionais Pourailly Et Cie Compagnie Generale Toulouse. Each dish features the gilded monogram letters 'LD' or 'DL'. The D is promenant in front of the gilt L. These would have either belonged to a family who had personalised their table service or to a company, likewise, personalising their dinnerware.

There are signs of wear, the paint of the rim is worn in some areas and parts of the monogramme is worn. These are great little serving dishes with so many uses around the kitchen or for dinner serving, or aperitif nibbles and snacks.

Charlionais & Pourailly was a French company prominent in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Based out of Lyon and Toulouse, they operated as major regional distributors and workshop outfitters. They specifically supplied hotels, cafés, and private residences with furniture (like their famous cast-iron bistro tables), glassware, and fine ceramics.
Limoges porcelain factories would have manufactured the plain dishes. They were then either decorated by or retailed through Charlionais Pourailly’s Compagnie Générale branches.
