Antique Sarreguemines Asparagus Plate: French Ironstone Victorian Dinnerware

A gorgeous and rare set of majolica asparagus serving plates and serving dish from Sarreguemines in France, from around the 1875 period.

The colour is a dark pink, almost bordeaux in colour at the darker points, and the rest is an off-white.

Perfect to eat asparagus which is a popular entrée in France during spring.

The plates are in good condition without chips or cracks, they are from the 19th century so may show some small signs of previous use.
