Antique French pair of bistro bar glasses. They have extra thick glass in the body of the glass to magnify the drink make it look as though more liquid is in the glass, when in reality the glass capacity is much smaller than the size would indicate.
An old French barman explained that he would always drink from a glass like this when his customers offered him a drink. That way he was sharing the hospitality whilst knowing he was only drinking a small quantity.
They are a classic pair of glasses for any bar.
There are some marks from the fabrication process. Please look closely at all photos.
