Antique 1900 George Dreyfus terracotta crying baby bust pin cushion. Marked on the underside 1184 GD Paris Deposé (trademark). It is such a unique and unusual item, as completely irresistible as it is slightly strange.
The original velvet pin cushion and stuffing appears to have been replaced with some antique lace.
Some of these I have seen with a fly on the nose of the baby and others without.
